Ingredients
- As req Wheat Bread
- 1 cup Semolina
- 2 ladle Curd
- As req Water to adjust the consistency
- As req Salt
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 no Onion
- 1-2 tbsp Red bell pepper
- 1-2 tbsp Yellow bell pepper
- 1 - 2 tbsp Green bell pepper
- 3 nos Green chillies
- To garnish Coriander leaves
- To toast Ghee
Instructions
- Take a bowl and add semolina into it. To this add curd and mix well.
- Add water and adjust the consistency of the batter.
- Then add salt, turmeric powder and give it a mix. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes.
- To this add chopped onions, red, green, yellow bell pepper and mix well.
- Add green chillies for the spiciness.
- Garnish it with freshly chopped oriander leaves.
- Allow the batter to sit for 2 hours.
- Take a skillet, heat it and toast the bread.
- Spread the semolina batter on the top of it.
- When the bottom side is done, flip and cook on the other side. The batter will gets cooked and the yummy sooji toast is ready.
- Serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Add a little water and adjust the consistency to make a smooth, spreadable batter.

Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.

Now add finely chopped onions and red, green, and yellow bell peppers.

Add green chillies for some spice and mix everything well.

Garnish the batter with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Allow the batter to rest for about 2 hours so that the semolina absorbs the moisture and softens.

Heat a skillet or tawa and lightly toast the bread slices.

Spread the prepared sooji batter evenly on top of the bread.

Cook on medium flame until the bottom side becomes crisp.

Flip the toast and cook the other side so that the semolina topping cooks well and turns slightly golden.

Once done, remove from the pan. Your crispy and delicious Sooji Toast is ready.
