- 1 Mixie
Ingredients
- 1.5 Cup Channa dal
- 1 Cup Urad dal
- 1/4 Cup Groundnut
- 15 no Bedigi Chilli
- 10 no Guntur Chilli
- Small piece Jaggery
- Small piece Tamarind
- As req Salt
Instructions
- Dry roast each ingredient separately in a kadai.
- Add chana dal to the kadai and roast it on medium flame until it turns golden brown. Transfer it to a plate.
- Add urad dal and roast it until it becomes golden brown and aromatic.
- Roast the groundnuts until they turn crisp. Keep them aside.
- Roast the dry coconut lightly until fragrant.
- Finally, roast the dried red chillies until they become hot and aromatic.
- Transfer all the roasted ingredients to a mixie jar.
- Add tamarind, jaggery, and salt.
- Grind everything into a fine powder. You can also keep it slightly coarse for better texture.
- Your Karnataka Chutney Podi is ready.
