The main ingredient for this recipe is urad dhal and black peppercorn. This recipe is much easier than the normal urad dhal vadai. I made it with white urad dhal. You can make the same recipe with black urad dhal.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_s_A7zRUPjk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p><em>INGREDIENTS<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Urad dhal- 1 cup<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Rice flour- 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Pepper- 1 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Salt- To taste<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Oil &#8211; 1 tsp\/Frying<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash and soak the urad dhal for 20 to 30\u00a0 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the water completely and grind it to a fine paste.<\/li>\n<li>Add rice flour, pepper, salt and grind it once again.<\/li>\n<li>In a plastic sheet, apply oil.<\/li>\n<li>Take a ball of the dough and place it on the greased plastic sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Cover it with another plastic sheet and press it with the davara(bowl) to make a flat pattice. The vadai should be thin.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the pressure applied is even.<\/li>\n<li>Makle ahole in the centre with a finger.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil and deep fry the vadais until they turn golden brown in colour and crispy.<\/li>\n<li>Offer it to God and store it in an air tight container.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anjaneyar vadai is a traditional prasadham offered in many Anjaneyar temples and in Perumal temples.
