Do not chop it into tiny cubes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Pressure cook or cook it in open pan with salt, water and turmeric powder. Thius vegetable should become soft but not mushy. Strain the excess water.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Grind the coconut, green chilli and curry leaves coarsely without adding water.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">In a kadai, add oil and splutter mustard seeds. Once they crack, add urad dhal and toor dhal and saute for a minute.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Now add the ground coconut mixture and saute until the moisture leaves from the coconut.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Finally add the cooked plantain and mix well with other ingredients.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">It goes well with <a href=\"https:\/\/superduperkitchen.wordpress.com\/2014\/02\/16\/arachuvitta-sambar\/\">sambar<\/a> sadham and<a href=\"https:\/\/superduperkitchen.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/05\/paruppu-rasam\/\"> rasam<\/a> sadham.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vaazhakkai poriyal \u00a0is one of the curries that we make at home regularly.
