Donot make it mushy.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Chop the onions finely.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Grind the coconut, roasted gram and fennel seeds. Keep it aside.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Separately grind the tomatoes and make puree out of it.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">In a pan, add ghee and saute the bay leaf, cardamom and cloves.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Then add the ginger garlic paste, saute until raw smell goes off.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Add chopped onions, saute till transparent.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Once the onions become transparent add the ground tomato puree and cook till the raw smell of the tomatoes disappear.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Now add the ground masala into the pan. Add some water and allow it to cook.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">When they start to boil, add the pressure coked channa, mix well and cook for two minutes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves before serving.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">It goes well with Roti, batura and puri.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Channa masala or Chole masala is one of the famous recipes made as a side dish for chappathi, puri and Batura.
