It\u00a0is called as Manchuria and the people as manchurians. \u00a0Also it was beleived that many years ago people from China lived in Kolkata for a century. And they introduced Chinese cooking techniques in some recipes and it was named as \u00a0Indo &#8211; Chinese cuisine. \u00a0Gobi manchurian is the recipe in which the cauliflower florets are mixed in a spicy sauce. \u00a0I have tasted the manchurian variety only once before my marriage. I normally prefer Chilli gobi or Chilli paneer or baby corn fry. \u00a01 small<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">All purpose flour- \u00a03\/4 cup<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Soya Sauce &#8211; \u00a01 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Red chilli powder &#8211; \u00a01\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Water &#8211; \u00a0To make paste<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Salt &#8211; \u00a0To taste<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>For Gravy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">All purpose flour &#8211; \u00a01\/4 cup<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Soya Sauce &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Tomato Sauce &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Green chillies -2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Onion- 2 medium size<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Red chilli powder &#8211; \u00a01\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Coriander &#8211; To garnish<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Water<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Salt &#8211; \u00a0To taste<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Oil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Separate the florets one by one and \u00a0remove the thick stem.<\/li>\n<li>Wash it well and boil it in salt water for 5 minutes.This will help to remove the worms that are present inside.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the water completely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">In a pan add oil and heat it in low flame. \u00a0Meanwhile prepare the mixture for deep frying.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">In a bowl mix all the ingredients given under to fry except the cauliflower.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">The batter should neither be too thick nor too watery.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Now dip the cauliflower florets into the batter \u00a0and deep fry in the oil.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Cook it in low to medium flame so that it doesn&#8217;t turn black.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">When it turns golden brown, remove it and spread it on a plate with tissue paper.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">So that the excess oil is absorbed.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Repeat it for all the florets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">In a kadai, add oil and saute the onions until they turn golden brown or till they become translucent.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Then add the ginger garlic paste, green chillies and saute until the raw smell goes off.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Mix the all purpose flour with little water and add into the kadai.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Also add soya sauce and tomato sauce and cook in medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Finally add the fried cauliflower and mix well . Add water is necessary .<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Garnish it with coriander before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">You can add equal measure of all purpose flour and corn flour for deep frying.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:left;\">Garnishing can be done with spring onions too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manchurian is the name pertaining to the large geographical area\u00a0in North east Asia.
