Peanuts contained in Poha are good source of protein and antioxidants, and also considered good for the heart. We can make a lot of recipes with poha. Aloo poha is the one in which you will find blended flavour of potato and flattened rice.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><em>INGREDIENTS<\/em><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Poha \/ aval &#8211;\u00a01\u00bd\u00a0cup<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Potato (finely chopped)-1 big<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">lemon juice &#8211; 2 tsp<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Water<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/07\/dsc00039.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-2502\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/07\/dsc00039.jpg?w=800\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>For Seasoning<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Oil &#8211; 2 tsp<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Green chillies (finely chopped)-\u00a01 &#8211; 2<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Mustard seeds-\u00bd tsp<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\u00a0Peanuts -1 tbsp<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Urad dal-1 tsp<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Turmeric powder-A pinch<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Curry leaves-few<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Coriander leaves -few<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">Salt &#8211; to taste<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Take poha in a vessel and wash well.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt and turmeric powder to it\u00a0and keep aside.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a pan.<\/li>\n<li>Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal and peanuts.<\/li>\n<li>Saute until they turn brown and add green chillies.<\/li>\n<li>Add potatoes in a separate vessel and water. Mix well and simmer till potatoes are cooked.<\/li>\n<li>Add poha and potatoes to the tempering and mix well. Simmer for just one minute.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle lemon juice to add flavour.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: \u00a0<\/strong>You can also grate the potatoes instead of chopping.<\/p>\n<p>Green peas and onions can be used.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Poha is known as aval in tamil.
