You can make this as a evening snack or can pack this in a tiffin box with cilantro\/tomato\/kaara chutney.<a href=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3432.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-1407\" class=\"size-full wp-image aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3432.jpg?w=800\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>INGREDIENTS<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Idli batter- 4 cups<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Corn flour &#8211; 3 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Rice flour &#8211; 8 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Plain flour &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Cliantro (chopped)- \u00a04 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Curry leaves(chopped) &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Ginger(Chopped)- 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Green chillies &#8211; 3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Coconut (sliced thinly) &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Cumin seeds &#8211; 1 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Salt &#8211; As required<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Asafoetida &#8211; A pinch<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix the idli batter with rice flour, corn flour, plain flour without forming any lumps.<\/li>\n<li>The batter should not be too watery. It should be of thick consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Now add the chopped cilantro, curry leaves, cumin seeds, ginger, salt, asafoetida and\u00a0thinly sliced coconut to the batter and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>The batter is ready to be used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3429.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-1408\" src=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3429.jpg?w=800\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep the appa kaaral in the stove. If you are going to use the bronze appa kaaral, then you have to add oil every time you pour the batter.
