It is spicy as well as sweet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3428.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-1368\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"http:\/\/superduperkitchen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/img_3428.jpg?w=800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>INGREDIENTS<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Tomatoes &#8211; 10<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Salt &#8211; As required<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Turmeric powder &#8211; A pinch<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Jaggery &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>For grinding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Red chillies &#8211; 2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Coconut (grated)- 1 cup<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Mustard &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cut the tomatoes into half, add salt, turmeric powder, jaggery and pressure cook it.<\/li>\n<li>Grind the grated coconut, mustard seeds and red chillies finely.<\/li>\n<li>Heat the pan and add 1 tsp oil and sputter the mustard seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Now add the pressure cooked tomatoes and mash it well.<\/li>\n<li>Once it starts to boil, add the ground coconut paste and allow it cook for ten more minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Serve it with hot rice and milagu pappadam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thakkali pachadi is an authentic kerala recipe made with tomatoes, coconut paste and red chillies.
